From Naran Mansehra / Balakot / Kaghan, you can reach the lake 14 kilometers. The journey from Naran to the lake takes about 4 to 6 hours, enough to climb 3,000 feet only for physically fit people. 

This is an 8 km long trekking route. You can rent a jeep at the market and reach the top of the mountain within an hour. The water is clear. This clear water is due to the multiple glaciers surrounding the upper basin supplying water to the lake.
