Khewra Salt Mine

The Khewra Salt Mine is in Khewra, north of Pind Dadan Khan, an administrative subdivision of Jhelum District, Punjab Region, Pakistan. The mine is in the Salt Range, Potohar plateau, which rises from the Indo-Gangetic Plain, and is the second largest in the world.

Katas Raj Temple

The Shri Katas Raj Temples also known as Qila Katas is a complex of several Hindu temples connected to one another by walkways. The temple complex surrounds a pond named Katas which is regarded as sacred by Hindus. The complex is located in the Potohar Plateau region of Pakistan’s Punjab province. The temples are located in municipal committee Choa Saidanshah, and are near the M2 Motorway.

Khewra Salt Mines & Katas Raj Temple 1 Day Tour

Explore the world’s second-largest salt mine, “Khewara Salt Mined.” Known for producing Khewra Pink salt, the mine is a significant tourist attraction, attracting 250,000 visitors annually where Alexander’s army dates back to 320 BC. if you have not gone to mines before, it’s time to explore the largest mine in Pakistan. Tourists travel to the mines via the Khewra Salt Mine Railway.

After Khewra, your journey continues to Kallar Kahar. It’s a beautiful green valley with a lake. It’s a lagoon because the salt mines are also nearby. You can enjoy the boat and snacks—great place for picnics and outdoor
day trips.

The day’s last stop will be Katas Raj Temple, an ancient temple complex. These temples are considered the second-holiest places in the historical region of Punjab.
