Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup and move toward Islamabad Hotel

1-2 Hour drive

We shall welcome and pick our guests from Islamabad airport and move toward hotel in Islamabad. Reach hotel in 30 min to 1 hour and check in to hotel. Visit the Jinnah super Market F7 if time allows.

Hotel: Grand Islamabad or Diplomat Hotel

Day 2

Islamabad to Gilgit Flight to Fairy Meadows

3-4 Hours drive and 3-4 Hour hiking

Guest will take flight for Gilgit from Islamabad Airport. Driver shall pick the guests from Gilgit airport and start journey toward Raikot from where we shall take a jeep ride for Tatu. Reach Tatu in 1-2 hours from where we shall start hiking for 3-4 hours toward Fairy meadows. Reach Fairy Meadows and explore it for a while.

If flight got cancel we shall move toward Chilas by road. 9-10 hours drive

Day 3

Fairy meadows & Biyal Camp Excursion

3-4 Hour hiking

After breakfast in the beautiful meadows, we shall move toward Biyal camp which is 1-2 hours away from the fairy meadows. Explore the Biyal camp for while, after an excursion back to the fairy meadows. Bonfire in the evening and night stay in fairy meadows.

Day 4

Fairy meadows to Hunza

1-2 Hour hiking, 1 Hour jeep ride & 5-6 Hour drive

After breakfast, we shall start hiking back toward Tatu from where we shall take a jeep for Raikot and start our journey toward Hunza. Short stay at 3 Mountain Junction and Rakaposhi view Point. Reach Hunza Duiker Eaglenest by mid-day to explore it for 1-2 hours. After the excursion, we shall move toward Gulmit where we shall have a traditional homestay.

Day 5

Baskochi Meadows Excursion

2-3 Hour drive & 7-8 Hour hiking

We shall move toward Attabad Lake and reach there in 1 hour, from where we shall start hiking toward Baskochi Meadows and reach there in 3-4 hours and explore it while. After the excursion, we shall move back toward Attabad Lake from where we shall move to a hotel in Minapin.

Day 6

Minapin to Rakaposhi Base Camp

6-7 Hour hiking

Early morning, we shall start hiking from Minapin to Hapakun(2800M) and reach the grassy meadows of Hapakun in 2-3 hours. After 1-2 hours of stay, we shall start hiking from Hapakun to Tagaphari(3300M) and reach Rakaposhi Base Camp (Tagaphari) in 2-3 hours. We shall explore the Rakaposhi basecamp with a stunning view of Rakaposhi & Diran Peak. Overnight in the tent.

Day 7

Rakaposhi Base Camp to Minapin

3-4 Hour hiking & 1-2 Hour drive

Early morning after breakfast we shall start hiking back toward Minapin and reach there in 3-4 hours. Reach the hotel in 3-4 hours and check in to the hotel. After 1-2 hours of rest, we shall visit the Karimabad bazaar to explore it for 1-2 hours and back to the hotel in the evening for a night stay.

Day 8

Minapin to Skardu

5-6 Hours drive

Leave early morning after breakfast and we shall start our journey toward Skardu. Skardu-Hunza Road is the most exciting offering beautiful landscape and the Indus river on one side. Reach Skardu in 5-6 hours and visit the Upper and Lower Kachura lake for while. After the excursion moves toward the hotel for night stay.

Day 9

Deosai National Park Excursions

7-8 Hour drive

We shall take a jeep ride to visit the 2nd highest plateau in the world Deosai. Visit the Sadpara lake on the way and visit the Deosai top & Sheosar Lake for while. After the excursion, we shall move toward Skardu for a night stay.

Day 10

Marsur Rock Excursion

1-2 Hour drive and 7-8 Hour hiking

We shall start our journey toward Hussainabad, from where we shall start hiking toward Marsur Rock and reach there in 3-4 hours. Explore the finest bird eye viewpoint of Skardu. After the excursion back to Skardu till night for a night stay.

Day 11

Excursions for Khaplu Valley

4-5 Hour drive

In the morning we shall move toward Khaplu valley which is about 3-4 hours away from Skardu. Visit the Chaqchan mosque, Sailing Fish Farm and Historic Khaplu fort in Khaplu valley. We shall visit the Mashabrum viewpoint and explore it for while. Back to Khaplu for a night stay.

Day 12

Khaplu valley to Shigar and Katpana Excursion

3-4 Hour drive

We shall start our journey toward Shigar Valley it will take almost 3-4 hours to reach there. We shall visit the Shigar Fort, Blind Lake & Katpana Cold Desert for while. Night stay in Katpana glamp and explore it for while.

Day 13

Skardu to Islamabad Flight & City Tour

1-2 Hour flight, 2-3 Hour drive

Today we shall pick up Guests from the hotel and transfer them to Skardu Airport for the flight. We shall visit the most iconic Landmark Building in Islamabad Faisal Mosque, National Monument, Lok Virsa for while. In the evening we shall visit the Margalla hills for a Grand dinner and back to the hotel for night stay.

If flight got cancel we shall move toward Besham from Skardu and reach there in 10-11 hours for night stay.

Day 14

Shopping, Packing & Air Port Drop

2-3 Hour drive

We shall have a few hours in the morning for shopping. we shall visit the Jinnah Super Market F7 & Centaurus Mall. After the excursion, we shall drop our guest at Islamabad airport by 8 pm for the guest’s flight.

If yesterday flight was cancel. Today we shall start our journey back to Islamabad Airport. Short stay at some points. Reach Islamabad till evening and drop our guest at Islamabad airport for the guest's flight for the end of the beautiful tour.

Is the deposit refundable?

Deposits are used to secure the flights, transport and guides, etc…and are therefore non-refundable.

What happens if I need to cancel?

We understand that things come up, however, FOUR weeks prior to the trip, full payments are non-refundable…ensure you purchase travel insurance for cancellation.

What is the last date of booking?

If I am traveling solo, is there a single supplement?

If you want to have your own room then a single supplement is available but you are not required to pay for a single supplement. If you do not wish to book a single room then you will be roomed with another traveler of the same gender.

What kind of rooms will be provided for this tour?

When booking you are guaranteed accommodation at a friendly country hotel and/or guesthouse. All of the hotels we have partnered up with are of the same standards and offer nice rooms. The standard room is a twin room but it is possible to request a double room, with no extra charge. The rooms come with private bathrooms. In camping, guests will be accommodated on a mat with sleeping bags.
Free Wi-Fi & towels are accessible at all of the hotels.

Are meals included on the tour?

Breakfast is included at the hotel/guesthouse/Camping during the tour. Lunch with a Single Dish during Hiking is included. Dinner with 2 dishes with Raita, Salad, Roti & Cold drinks is Included. 2 X 500ml Mineral Water bottles will be provided to each person per day.

What is the luggage allowance for this tour?

For the tour, each participant is allowed to bring a small backpack and 1 piece of luggage weighing a maximum of 20 kg (44 lbs). If you have more or heavier luggage with you, you will need to book storage for the surplus luggage before you arrive, there is a small fee for using this facility.

Does this Hiking tour suit me?

We welcome all participants of all ages older than the listed minimum age for each tour. Our average group usually consist of participants between the age of 20-55 years. Although we have people of all ages ranging from 20-60 years can join our Hiking tour. We get a lot of solo travelers joining us as well as families and friends.
If you find yourself having difficulties participating in any of the activities included in the tour, then you are more than welcome to skip it. Hunza, Skardu of Pakistan is surrounded by beautiful scenery so you can explore your surroundings in the meantime or wait elsewhere while others do the activity. Our guide should be able to drop you off at a nearby place where there are some services available if requested.

What is the average driving per day?

The average is around 180 km (111 miles) per day on this tour. You’ll spend approximately 2-3 hours in the Van each day. Stops are of course made at multiple locations throughout the tour for sightseeing, activities, bathroom breaks, lunch stops and etc.

Do I need cash during this tour?

Yes, you need cash during this tour for your purchases, Credit cards do not work in northern Pakistan. An average of 30-40$ is good enough per day.
