Lack of Good Hotels in Gilgit Baltistan

It is time to talk about the hotel industry in Pakistan. Hunza, Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan need good hotels. Nothing can beat the fact that Pakistan is an immensely popular tourist destination around the world.

Local and foreign tourists visit Pakistan all around the year. Because of its diverse landscape, colorful culture, and most importantly, the people of Pakistan and their unmatchable hospitality.

In the peak season, all of the hotels that have the proper facilities are fully booked in Gilgit Baltistan.

Gilgit-Baltistan tourism has the famous mountains that attract most tourists to the country. Additionally, it has more foreign tourist experience than any other region in Pakistan.

With the steady flow of guests, Gilgit Baltistan needs good hotels and resort that play a major role in the tourism industry. However, it may be more difficult to maintain the interest of tourists during the economic downturn.

The most important factor in tourism is accommodation. It’s not just destinations, food, and important events. A good hotel can travel or destroy it, especially when traveling with the whole family. In recent years, people have paid great attention to Pakistan’s tourism industry and its potential. Although the goal is to attract foreign tourists carrying foreign currencies. Most of the focus is on domestic tourists who want to travel within Pakistan.

Negligence of Government for Hotel Industry

According to the 2017 census, the average family size in Pakistan is about 6 or 7 people. No one wants to book multiple rooms in a large chain hotel. And no one wants to risk the safety and experience of the whole family in a smaller hotel.

However, just like any industry, any method will encounter problems. The same is true in the hotel industry. People in the industry are often asked what they expect to start a business in 2021 because the rules are set at different times.

However, since the Prime Minister attaches great importance to the tourism industry, he does not want the coronavirus to hinder the development of the road, and hoteliers are confident that they will change the regulations. Standardization of local taxes in all provinces is still at the core of creating a level playing field.

Many local and foreign tourists now preferred for Homestay. Because during peak season in Gilgit Baltistan, all of the major yet minor hotels are 100% booked. The solo travelers who are on their adventure journey facing this difficulty every time.

This is the high time, we as a nation need to focus on creating more and more possibilities for the tourist so that our economy can rise through it.
